Material displacement with advanced blending

Create more detailed materials effortlessly with the new material displacement with advanced blending. Now, you can blend the displacement from multiple V-Ray materials to apply it to any object, achieving stunning realism instantly without complex setups. Optimize your workflow by adding displacement to multiple objects directly from the material instead of modifying each object separately.

Create with the power of AI.

AI Material Generator

Material creation has never been easier thanks to the new AI Material Generator available in Chaos Cosmos. With this new powerful feature, you can upload a photo of a real-world surface, and turn it into a render-ready PBR material with all necessary maps in just a few clicks. It’s ideal for secondary materials that don’t need extensive art direction, allowing you to fill out environments and interior spaces quickly, without sacrificing believability, and without the need for third-party tools.

AI Enhancer (advanced controls)

The AI Image Enhancer (part of Chaos Cloud Collaboration) elevates realism, texture, and detail in supporting elements—like foliage, people, or terrain—without altering your core design. With the advanced controls, you can fine-tune the appearance of people, and refine vegetation for precision and consistency. From street-level shots to aerial views, it automatically enhances areas for improvement—no re-rendering needed.

AI Upscaler

Turn low-resolution renders into high-quality, presentation-ready visuals, saving hours of rendering time while still getting crisp, photoreal results. Part of Chaos Cloud Collaboration, the AI Upscaler not only boosts resolution, it also sharpens textures and details, so your work looks even more polished.

Bring the night to light.

Night Sky

Create realistic and astronomically precise night skies with ease. Achieve unparalleled realism in night scenes with accurate positions and light intensity of the stars, the Moon and its phases, and the Milky Way. Depending on your project requirements, you can set the night sky elements based on real-world settings such as date, and time or by adjusting individual elements.

Next-generation distributed rendering.

Distributed Rendering (DR) 2

The next generation of distributed rendering is here and it brings many speed and performance improvements. In DR 2, there are no longer limitations on how many machines can participate in the rendering process - the more machines you add, the faster rendering is. Progressive rendering assures better scaling with multiple machines.

Support for Caustics and Caustics Render Element

V-Ray GPU now supports Caustics, delivering realistic reflections and refractions in both production and interactive rendering. Powered by a new Photon Mapping-based Caustics solver optimized for GPU hardware, it achieves significantly faster results compared to CPU rendering. Additionally, the new Caustics Render Element provides advanced control for fine-tuning in post-production.

Faster time to first pixel

Experience even better interactive and final rendering with faster time to first pixel, thanks to optimizations in rendering scatter and texture-heavy scenes. Scene data upload to GPU and geometry compilation are also optimized for speed.

Out-of-core textures

Rendering texture-heavy scenes is now much more memory-efficient. Using System Memory for Textures lowers GPU memory usage significantly with little impact on performance. This is a new implementation of Out Of Core Textures. Add incredible detail to your scenes without sacrificing shading quality.

Up to 3X faster on MacBooks

New Metal support triples rendering performance when using both the GPU and CPU sides of Apple M4 processors, while doubling performance on M3 processors.

Mapping source in V-Ray Multisub Tex.

Enjoy a faster and more efficient material workflow by applying a mapping source (such as UVWRandomizer) to all the sub-maps in the MultisubTex. By checking the mapping source box, you get faster control over all sub textures and simpler tree structures in the Material editor.
