Simulate fire, smoke, liquids, explosions & more!

Chaos® Phoenix is a fluid dynamics simulator capable of creating a wide range of effects for architectural visualization and VFX, including fire, smoke, flames, liquids, explosions, ocean waves, splashes, spray, mist and more. It is seamlessly integrated into Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya and is optimized to render with V-Ray® and Corona. Plus, Phoenix works with top industry tools such as thinkingParticles, Krakatoa, Frost, Stoke MX and is compatible with Alembic, OpenVDB and Field3D formats. There's even support for Backburner, Deadline or Royal Render for network simulations.

Simulate realistic fire & smoke.

With Phoenix's powerful adaptive-grid dynamics engine you can create any type of fire and smoke. Refine existing simulation, speed up or slow down simulation playback, simulate highly realistic and detailed vorticity effects or render particles as bubbles, drops, points, or fog—the possibilities are limitless. With built-in presets for typical simulation types, Phoenix makes it easy to create great-looking fluid effects.

Great foam, liquids & splashes.

Phoenix can simulate variable viscosity, waves and infinite oceans, splashes, mist and superior foam. It also includes powerful tools and forces for morphing and retiming simulations. And you can simulate foam, liquids and splashes directly in Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya.
