Starting today, we'll be transitioning all current V-Ray for Cinema 4D customers to Chaos Group for licensing, support and product updates. From now through March 15, 2019  (Extended to 31 March, 2019), owners of V-Ray for Cinema 4D 3.6 or earlier are entitled to a free license for the Chaos Group version (3.7). This license will include all updates, and it expires on January 15, 2020.

We’ve worked with LAUBlab to ensure the transition to Chaos will be as smooth as possible. V-Ray 3.7 for Cinema 4D has the same V-Ray feature set as 3.6, is compatible with Cinema 4D R18–20 and uses Chaos Group Licensing. You can receive support for version 3.6 and higher at forums.chaosgroup.com. If you have any questions, check out the FAQ or email support@chaosgroup.com.

In addition to ongoing improvements to V-Ray for Cinema 4D, we have released Corona for Cinema 4D beta 2, with the final product to follow in January 2019. Corona for Cinema 4D has gained popularity among design visualization specialists looking to leverage fast and intuitive rendering. Beta users have been particularly impressed with its thorough integration, ease of use, fluid interactive rendering, and powerful material editing using its own node editor.
