Chaos Scans moves to Cosmos

Our library of photorealistic scanned materials, Chaos Scans, is now part of Chaos Cosmos and Corona users can easily find, preview, and use over 3,100 ultra-realistic materials including metal, leather, paper, plastic, rubber, and more. Corona Premium users now have their favorite material collection at their fingertips and enjoy the added ability to fully edit and customize them to suit their needs. Explore the materials on Cosmos and create your most realistic work yet.

Virtual Tours: Auto Hotspots
Generate immersive, interactive virtual tours right from the Collaboration interface—no third-party app needed. Thanks to the direct integration between Corona’s VFB and Chaos Cloud, you can effortlessly create panorama virtual tours with automatic hotspot generation. Customize your tours by adding floor plans, personalizing hotspots, and transitions, and adding contextual details and design elements.

Differential Ray Filtering

Thanks to the new Differential Ray Filtering, textures are sharper and less blurred through refraction and some reflections. This feature also lays the groundwork for the upcoming Toon Shader in Corona 13.

Per Camera Global Volume override (Corona for 3ds Max)

Unlock next-level creative control with the new Global Volume override, which lets you set different global volume settings for each camera. Perfect for foggy or underwater scenes, this feature makes it easy to achieve distinct moods and atmospheres from multiple angles.

Improvements to the new DOF solver

The new Depth of Field (DOF) Highlight Solver has had further improvements, working as expected with reflected highlights and some refracted highlights. Now you can benefit from it in even more scenes.

New LUTs available.

The new LUTs are a generous contribution from our talented community member Iraban Dutta. For more information on these LUTs, please see Iraban_Dutta_ASV__INFO.txt in the installed Corona LUT folder. This is a great example of how community creativity continues to shape and enhance Corona for everyone.

Faster parsing in Corona for 3ds Max.

Parsing Improvements when scrubbing the timeline with IR active

Save valuable time with the new parsing improvements in Corona for 3ds Max. When scrubbing through the timeline, only the changes in your scene are parsed, making Interactive Rendering significantly faster. This update was developed as part of enabling rendering using Vantage via Live Link coming in Corona 13.

Corona now supports Anima 6, bringing your visualizations to life with dynamic vehicle animations, realistic crowd simulations, and lifelike human movement. Instantly generate vehicle paths that follow international traffic rules and handle intersections automatically. Populate urban scenes with hundreds of animated vehicles, complete with true-to-life behaviors like wheel spin, chassis roll, and terrain response—and more.

Vantage Live Link start/stop

Start and/or stop Vantage Live Link using the new button in the Corona toolbar.

Vantage upload progress bar

Track the progress of your scene upload to Vantage and cancel it if needed with the new progress bar.
