
This November, V-Ray and SketchUp will unite with one goal: to showcase the incredible talent of leading 3D artists and visualization wizards at the region’s largest creative festival. The two companies will host a joint full-day track at Dubai Design Week bringing to light unique thinkers and groundbreaking projects that are redefining the limits of their craft.
The Bluegfx Expo is an essential event for London and UK-based VFX companies and artists. At this year’s edition, Chaos Group’s CG Specialist, Cory Holm, will demonstrate the powerful new features of Phoenix FD 4.0 and preview the real-time ray tracing workflows in Project Lavina. We’ll also welcome INK’s super-talented 3D Artist, Ioanna Ivanova, to talk about how the company uses 3ds Max and V-Ray to create jaw-dropping visuals.
Organized with reseller SolidCad and influencer Norm Li, Chaos Meetup Vancouver will be the perfect refresher on Chaos Group’s products for arch-viz and BIM. Chaos Group’s CCO, Lon Grohs, will talk attendees through best practices and visual storytelling, show some of the stunning imagery V-Ray creates via our arch-viz reel and make a special announcement for the Toronto community. Postoffice will take a deep dive into the creation of photoreal CGI animals — from sculpting muscles and simulating fat, to generating fur and final renders. Learn about the VFX workflows of the Amsterdam-based studio, while also hearing why they’re transitioning from Maya to Houdini. Ambassadors’ Head of 3D will present how the studio uses V-Ray to craft miniature worlds and charismatic characters, taking a close look at recent CG animations for ASN Bank and Unox. There will be insights galore about how they capture reference on set, and how they use Maya, Yeti and Houdini to blend pint-sized characters into handcrafted worlds. The 30-minute workshop will cover how to transfer a V-Ray scene between 3ds Max and Unreal Engine from start to finish, and it will be followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. This is a great chance to see V-Ray's powerful capabilities in Unreal Engine, including VFB and Viewport rendering, light baking and post process effects.
