Active Bodies Active Bodies introduce basic rigid-body simulation with Phoenix liquids. Want to create boats floating over an ocean? Or wash away debris in a flood? This feature can help you achieve these effects in no time.
Particle Tuner The new Particle Tuner gives you per-particle control. Using this feature, you can take a more procedural approach to effects such as solidifying lava, melting chocolate, or mixing and dividing liquids based on their color.
The new Voxel Tuner uses expression operators to affect the voxels of the Phoenix Simulator so you get finer control over Fire, Smoke, RGB and the rest of the grid channels. You can easily generate smoke and temperature procedurally from the velocity or distance to a certain object.
The Tex UVW feature lets you transport UVW coordinates along a fluid. You can create a number of different effects during rendering without having to iterate the simulation many times. You can also recolor textured volumes and liquids or add more detail to your simulations at render time.
Use the brand new Phoenix 4 operators for thinkingParticles to create and influence tP particles based on the data from Phoenix simulations. Emit fluids via the Phoenix sources from thinkingParticles geometries and render tP particles and custom data channels using the Phoenix Particle Shader and Particle Texture.
Standalone Cache Preview tool
Preview AUR, VDB and Field3D cache files without loading them into a DCC application such as 3ds Max or Maya, and save a sequence of images to preview an entire cached simulation. Use the new ‘Velocity Streamlines' option to get a Streamline Preview of the velocity field.
