Deadly Blessing (Movie)

Following his groundbreaking directorial debut, the infamous revenge shocker The Last House On The Left (1972), and the success of his second feature, the ferocious genre classic The Hills Have Eyes (1977), director Wes Craven had already achieved cult status with fi lms that encapsulated the fury and desperation of the times. With Deadly Blessing, Craven concocts a sophisticated psycho-thriller about a woman's fight against a religious cult. Stars Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) in one of her earliest roles, while Ernest Borgnine plays the psychopathic cult leader.
