He was the founding member of the legendary SKATALITES, an in-house arranger/ producer the equally legendary STUDIO ONE, and a solo artist in his own right leading groups such as the SOUL BROTHERS, SOUND DIMENSION and SOUL VENDORS.
The Soul Brothers recorded at Studio One between 1965-1967, the transitionary period between Ska and Rocksteady.
Their music became a mixture of Jamaican funk, Latin and Jazz.
'Last Train To Skaville', recorded during this time, signalled the end of the ska era.
The classic and rare recordings included here, are all from the period when Jackie Mittoo was developing his new style and the Soul Brothers started to forge a new sound.
